Why does Anglican's for Life exist?

The coarsening of our culture devalues individual human life. People are living with the painful consequences caused by that devaluation.
The Church exists to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel of Life. Anglicans for Life exists to assist the Church and her people fulfill these purposes. People need guidance on how to respond to the immorality of modern times. Anglicans for Life welcomes the opportunity to become an information and ministry resource to help!
Working together as followers of Jesus Christ, we can reach out and minister to the lost, the needy, the sick and suffering, experiencing fun and fellowship as we fulfill the great commission.

Mission

Anglicans for Life’s mission is to advocate the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death in the Church and society.

Anglicans for Life fulfills its mission by:
• Publishing educational materials and practical ministry resources that address life issues for both clergy and laity.
• Maintaining a website filled with information, articles, links, and resources on a variety of life and family topics.
• Sponsoring national campaigns like the national Silent No More Awareness Campaign (www.SilentNoMoreAwareness.org) and the Women Deserve Better Campaign (www.WomenDeserveBetter.com) that raise awareness about the need to help pregnant women and those hurting after abortion.
• By developing and supporting a network of Anglicans for Life Chapters in congregations and dioceses nationwide.

Vision

Anglicans for Life’s vision is to stand for the value of every human life as revealed in Scripture and equip people to develop a biblical response to issues that threaten human life.

This is how Anglicans for Life lives out this vision:

• Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its ability to redeem, heal, and empower.
• Uphold the value and dignity of the unborn from conception through birth.
• Help women facing an unplanned pregnancy identify and find resources they need so they have choices other than abortion.
• Reach out to those who are hurting after abortion to let them know about the help and forgiveness available through Christ and abortion-recovery programs.
• Make the public aware of the harm abortion does to women and help make abortion unthinkable in our society.
• Work for Church and public policies that uphold the sanctity of life.
• Help the Church and culture understand biotechnology issues such as, embryonic stem cell research and cloning.
• Help the Church and culture understand end of life health care issues, physician-assisted suicide, and euthanasia.
• Encourage parents, youth, and youth leaders to understand that pregnancy prevention comes from an abstinence worldview and an understanding of how God sees them.
