Of Rights, Wrongs, and Regrets

Bishop Breedlove and 15 other Anglican bishops formed the largest group of bishops from any single denomination at the March for Life in 2013.

Anglican Bishops in Washington

The 2013 March for Life in Washington, DC, marked the 40th anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision AND the first time Anglican bishops joined the March!

The Rt. Rev. Julian Dobbs, CANA

Endorsement:
Our nation and much of the world appears determined to cheapen the gift of human life that Almighty God has given us.  From the most vulnerable in the womb, to the aged and incapacitated in our communities, society is under pressure to treat human life as a commodity to be disposed of whenever the circumstances demand action.  At the recent March for Life in Washington, D.C. many thousands of Christians from all religious backgrounds gathered to praise Almighty God for His precious gift of life.  I was inspired by this display of peaceful Christ-centered action calling for life to be treasured and for our nation to protect human life and honor the Creator.  Let us pray that the Living God would move the hearts of all people to respect life, especially the unborn in the womb.

Having participated in the March for Life in Washington DC in years’ past, I am definitely encouraged to witness the extraordinary number of young people who participate. Let us continue to pray that the rising generations are coming to understand what is at stake and are committed to standing boldly for life.

As we acknowledge the 40th remembrance of the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize abortion across our land, we do so with much deep prayer for those facing crisis pregnancies and end of life decisions this very day.

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Steven Breedlove, Presider, PEARUSA

This year’s March for Life marks the 40th year since abortion became legal across our nation, resulting in the loss of 55 million innocent lives. It also marks the first year that the Anglican Church has come together visibly to make a statement that we stand for LIFE! Join us in prayer and in every effort to care for and deliver those threatened by this tragedy.

The Rt. Rev. Ray R. Sutton, Church of the Holy Communion

We know that our merciful heavenly Father forgives the sins of those who truly and humbly repent. It was an honor to listen to the public testimonies of women and men from the “Silent No More Awareness Campaign” who proclaimed the realities of abortion in their lives and shared about their own healing in the arms of our loving Lord Jesus.

The Rt. Rev. Richard W. Lipka, Missionary Diocese of All Saints

For those who know and believe in our Creator God, it is abundantly clear how much He loves life and how highly He regards it. The Anglican Church must become more bold and proactive in leading our nation in the godly direction of affirming the sanctity of life.

Bishop-Elect Clark Lowenfield, Hope Pointe Anglican Church

Endorsement:
It is indeed encouraging to the Church to witness the increasing number of young people at the March for Life each year. As leaders in the Anglican Church, it is vitally important that we consistently step out as examples, encouragers and leaders in standing boldly for life!

Prayer For Life

PRAYER FOR LIFE Lord God, thank You for creating human life in Your image. Thank You for my life and the lives of those I love. Thank You for teaching us through Scripture the value You place on life. Help me to uphold the sanctity of life in my church and community. Give me the strength to stand up to those forces
that seek to destroy the lives of those most vulnerable,
the unborn, the infirm and the elderly. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of respecting life. I commit myself to protecting and defending the sacredness of life
according to Your will, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.   Anglicans for Life 405 Frederick Avenue Sewickley, PA  15143
