Planned Parenthood is a billion-dollar organization with nearly $350 million of government funding. Do we really want to subsidize an organization that gives women in need atrocious misinformation and predatory abortion practices?
Recently there have been a number of revelations about what really happens behind abortion clinic doors.
In an undercover video, filmed in an Appleton, WI, Planned Parenthood abortion facility, Live Action Films captured a counselor saying that a 10-week old unborn child has no heart beat, only “heart tones,” which she says begin at 7 weeks. In fact, heartbeats begin at roughly 3 weeks. Wisconsin Informed Consent Law requires that women receive medically accurate information before undergoing an abortion. Live Action president Lila Rose says that deceptive behavior by Planned Parenthood employees is nevertheless typical.
“They will do or say anything in order to sell more abortions to more women, whether it is covering up sexual abuse or lying to women about medical facts,” says Ms. Rose. “Our team has visited dozens of Planned Parenthood clinics undercover. Planned Parenthood, while claiming to support patient self-determination, operates with an ‘abortion-first’ mentality.”
In the video clip, both the counselor and an abortionist use a variety of phrases to avoid referring to an unborn child as a baby, instead referring to the baby as a “fetus,” “what’s in the uterus right now,” “the embryo developing inside,” “something growing inside your uterus.” They continually assure the woman, whom they believe to be pregnant, that the pre-born child is not a baby and tell her that it only becomes a baby at 6-7 months of pregnancy or at birth. The doctor also tells her that she should not wait, “because the sooner you do an abortion the easier it is and the quicker it is.” You can see the video on YouTube here.
In a jarringly candid statement made to WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas, late-term abortionist and Baptist Minister, Dr. Curtis Boyd, said that when he performs abortions he is “killing,” and he has no issues with it whatsoever. “Am I killing? Yes, I am. I know that,” Boyd said during a video interview following the opening of the Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center abortion facility. “The hardest ones are the young girls,” he said, saying girls as young as 9 and 10 years of age have been to his center for abortions.
The last revelation came from Abby Johnson, the ex-director of a PP abortion facility who recently made national headlines after converting to a pro-life position, has revealed that PP pushes employees to strive for more abortions to boost profits. “There are definitely client goals,” Johnson told WorldNetDaily. “We’d have a goal every month for abortion clients and for family planning clients.” Johnson went on to say, “Abortion is the most lucrative part of Planned Parenthood’s operations. With the family planning corporation really suffering, they depend on the abortion corporation to balance their budget, help get them out of the hole and help make income for the company.”
