Read about how futile federally-funded sex ed is.
Jennifer Roback Morse, author of “Smart Sex: Finding True Love in a Hook-Up World," demonstrated how futile federally funded comprehensive sex ed is for its target audience. Ms. Morse discovered that 90%, the common number touted as evidence for the success of contraceptives, represents married women in their 30’s and 40’s where only 3% became pregnant while using the contraceptive pill. Nearly 50% of low-income teenage girls become pregnant while using the pill. Over 70% become pregnant while using condoms. These numbers are from Planned Parenthood.
According to the Family Research Council, the percentage of pregnancies that occur from abstinence is 0% and the federal government actually spends $12 in contraceptive/condom education for every $1 in abstinence-only education.
