The Sorensen survey sought to find out about adolescents reaction to their first experience of sexual intercourse. For boys the event seems to be an establishment of themselves as adventurous, powerful beings. (Top feelings were; excited, satisfied, thrilled, happy, and joyful.) For girls, it is more likely to be a learning experience. (Top feelings were; afraid, guilt, worried, embarrassed, and hurt/sorry.)
