Note From Georgette

If you've recently found out that you are pregnant you may be happy and excited or shocked and scared or both. Pregnancy should be a time of celebration, but for you it may feel more like a problem that you wish would just go away. You may be hurt that those who care about you aren't excited and supportive. If you are feeling alone, scared, or needing help to deal with your problem, please call at 800-712-HELP (4357).

fetus
3 to 6 weeks
Baby arms begin to form at 3 weeks, and fingers begin to form at 6 weeks. At six weeks we can also begin to detect brain waves.
9 weeks
Cute legs and feet begin to develop at approximately 9 weeks, and the baby begins to have fun swimming in the amniotic fluid too!
This is a picture of a baby's ear at 3 1/2 months into the pregnancy.
This is a picture of a baby's ear at 3 1/2 months into the pregnancy. The"fetus" — latin for "little one" — can respond to stimulus such as light and pressure. He or she can even respond to sounds the average adult can not even hear!
3 1/2 months
This baby is also 3 1/2 months along. He or she will keep their eyes closed until approximately seven months to protect them.
4 months
This picture is a baby's face at just 4 months! Now the mother can begin to feel the movements of her unborn child.
5 months
This picture shows a baby at 5 months into his or her development. Mom can feel the baby's hiccups, the baby can suck its thumb, and weighs about one pound.
5 months
This picture shows a baby at five months. The baby will gain weight quickly and by the time of birth will weigh about 6 to 9 pounds.
6 months
This baby is 6 months along. At about 5 & 1/2 months babies have a very good chance of survival if born prematurely and given proper medical care. Some have survived premature birth at even earlier stages.
Birth
After about 9 months of growth the baby is born, what a miracle!

Prayer For Life

PRAYER FOR LIFE Lord God, thank You for creating human life in Your image. Thank You for my life and the lives of those I love. Thank You for teaching us through Scripture the value You place on life. Help me to uphold the sanctity of life in my church and community. Give me the strength to stand up to those forces
that seek to destroy the lives of those most vulnerable,
the unborn, the infirm and the elderly. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of respecting life. I commit myself to protecting and defending the sacredness of life
according to Your will, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.   Anglicans for Life 405 Frederick Avenue Sewickley, PA  15143
